The Nixon Firm is a family operated law firm, headed by Kenneth A. Nixon, Attorney at law. Kenneth Allen Nixon was born in Mobile, Alabama on October 4, 1959. He later attended Troy University, where he graduated with a major in Criminal Justice in 1984. He graduated from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1987 with a Proctor in Admiralty. Upon graduation, Ken was admitted into the Alabama Bar Association in 1987, and also joined the American Criminal Defense Lawyers Association in 1987. Ken is a lifetime member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and is the former President of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He has been appointed by the Alabama Supreme Court to serve as a Special District Court Judge for Mobile County, and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Federal Defenders Organization. He worked for Lyons, Pipes, & Cook from 1989 until opening up his own practice, The Nixon Firm, in 2010.
